School Plan 2015-2017
All NSW public schools have undergone a new planning approach to develop a three year school plan. It identifies future directions, a shared vision and priorities for the school. This plan has been formulated in consultation with all key stakeholders - the students, the staff and the community.
At its core is the Melbourne Declaration on Educational Goals for Young Australians (2008). There are two educational goals at the centre of this declaration:
Goal 1 - Australian schooling promotes equity and excellence
Goal 2 - All young Australians become:
- successful learners
- confident and creative individuals
- active and informed citizens
Achieving these educational goals is the collective responsibility of governments, school sectors and individual schools as well as parents and carers, young Australians, families, other education and training providers, business and the broader community. (p7)
Greenwich Public School will meet these goals through our three strategic directions:
1. Connecting quality learning for all students in a challenging, engaging and inclusive environment
2. Excellence in teaching, leadership and management through collaborative practices
3. Developing authentic, sustainable local and global partnerships
