Futsal and Netball Competition

During Semester 1 2026, Greenwich Public School ran a Stage 3 interschool Futsal and Netball competition in partnership with Lane Cove Public School.

The competition provided students with the opportunity to participate in regular sport in a fun, supportive and inclusive environment while developing teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship. It also allowed students to experience friendly interschool competition and represent their school with pride.

Matches were played weekly at the Galuwa Sports Centre, with Greenwich Public School also hosting selected games.

The focus throughout the competition was on participation, skill development and enjoyment. Students were encouraged to try their best, support their teammates and demonstrate respect for opponents, officials and spectators at all times.

We would like to thank Lane Cove Public School for partnering with us in this wonderful initiative. The competition was a great success, and we look forward to continuing the partnership with basketball and volleyball in Semester 2.

Congratulations to Furry Five who won the competition, with a semi-final and final win on the last week of the competition.

In the finals, the top four, middle four and bottom four teams each played a semi-final and final game to give final placings. Final placings:
