Highlights at our school

Performing Arts

Our Performing Arts Program is one of the highlights of student life at Greenwich Public School. Supported by our dedicated teachers and the tireless efforts of our P&C, the program gives students the chance to discover and develop their passions beyond the classroom.

Students can choose from a wide variety of opportunities, including bands, string ensembles, dance groups, multiple choirs, debating, and public speaking. These programs not only nurture creativity and confidence but also give students the chance to work collaboratively and shine in areas that inspire them.

For many, the pinnacle of the program is the chance to perform at iconic venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Town Hall. These experiences build pride, teamwork, and lasting memories, while encouraging students to thrive in an environment that celebrates talent and effort.

Colour Run & School Fair

At Greenwich Public School, community is at the heart of everything we do. Every second year, we host our much-loved Colour Run, while in alternate years we hold the School Fair. Both of these events are vibrant celebrations of our students, staff, families, and the wider community.

The Colour Run is filled with laughter, energy, and colour, bringing our students together in a joyful celebration of school spirit. The Fair is a cherished tradition that showcases the creativity and generosity of our families and local community.

These events go beyond fun – they highlight the strong partnership between our school and our community. Together, we create opportunities that connect classrooms with the wider world, celebrating what makes Greenwich Public a truly unique and supportive school.

STEM Opportunities

At Greenwich Public School, we are committed to preparing our students for the future by developing strong skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Our STEM programs encourage curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving, providing students with the chance to explore how the world works and how they can shape it.

Students engage in hands-on learning experiences such as coding, robotics, engineering challenges, digital design, and inquiry-based science projects. These programs nurture critical and creative thinking while building collaboration and resilience as students work together to tackle real-world problems.

STEM at GPS is about more than just technology, it’s about inspiring students to innovate, experiment, and believe in their ability to make a difference. With opportunities to showcase their learning through school initiatives, competitions, and special projects, our students are encouraged to think big and see themselves as the problem-solvers and creators of tomorrow.
